Francisca Quinn, M.Sc.
Business Manager and Sustainability Practice Leader

Francisca's experience includes almost 15 years in corporate strategy, organizational development, climate change mitigation and sustainability program design. Previously, she worked for Mercer Management Consulting in North America, a leading international management consultancy, and in London with the UK-based Carbon Trust. Francisca leverages her experience from having worked with large European organizations on carbon emissions reduction and with investors on identifying risks and opportunities from climate change. Francisca is the driving force behind Loop’s work on sustainability program design, sustainability performance management and carbon emissions insights. Her current client portfolio includes progressive Canadian companies who are seeking business growth and profitability from corporate sustainability initiatives.


Peter Halsall, P.Eng.
Chairman, The Halsall Group of Companies

Peter has been championing sustainability as a core value in the organization since the 1990s. He founded Loop in 2007 to help others overcome the obstacles in incorporating sustainability into their activities.


Philippe Bernier, M.Phil., P.Eng., LEED^® AP
Project Manager and Green Business Consultant

Philippe brings a proven track record of helping clients develop and implement winning strategies that integrate sustainability into business management and operations. He has helped companies worldwide improve profitability, reduce cost and risk and strengthen their brand and reputation. His commitment to helping the environment by applying sustainability thinking to the built environment led Philippe to complete a Masters in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2010.


Mark Bessoudo, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., LEED^® AP
Green Business Consultant

Mark is a green building and sustainability specialist with a background in environmental engineering. Mark has assisted municipalities and organizations develop environmental master plans and green building and sustainability policies. At Loop, Mark researches and analyzes sustainability performance indicators and develops strategies for organizations to benchmark, set targets and track progress.


Shawn Carr, B.A.Sc.
Project Manager and Employee Engagement Specialist

Shawn specializes in education, communication and technology relating to the implementation of sustainability. Prior to joining Loop, Shawn worked for a consulting firm as a manager for education program delivery, including e-learning.


Jennifer Hearn B. EnvSc (Hons); B.A.
Green Business Consultant

Jennifer is an environmental scientist who has helped organizations across all sectors improve resource efficiency and reduce carbon footprint. At Loop, Jennifer researches, analyzes and develops innovative strategies to help organizations incorporate sustainability within their operations. She also applies her expertise in greenhouse gas-reductions in Loop’s progressive carbon management work.


Caryn Levin, B.Eng.
Green Business Consultant

With a background in civil engineering, Caryn contributes to Loop's work as it relates to carbon emissions analytics, carbon offset development and supply chain analysis. From her previous role with a green marketing agency, Caryn is an experienced contributor to the development of internal and external sustainability reports, marketing and print media content, and employee training materials. Caryn is also a certified Carbon Trust Carbon Footprint Expert^TM.


Jia Shin, M.Sc.(Eng.), P.Eng., LEED^® AP
Green Business Consultant

Jia brings over six years of combined experience in green building design and building engineering to the team. She has helped commercial, residential and institutional clients navigate national and local green rating systems. At Loop, Jia helps clients go beyond greening their buildings to help them incorporate sustainability into their overall business strategy and organizations. She focuses on developing indicators and tools to measure carbon performance and strategies to reduce emissions.


Charlotte Davis, B.A., LLB
Communications Specialist

Charlotte is an experienced writer and editor who has written compelling copy for a wide variety of publications, including annual reports, newsletters and brochures. She contributes to Loop’s development of best-in-class materials for internal and external sustainability communications.


Andrew Metcalfe, BA, Dip. Graphic Design
Graphic Designer

With more than 10 years of design industry experience in the Green, Business and Education sectors, Andrew brings a fresh approach to Loop's visual communications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University and a diploma in Graphic Design from George Brown College. As an avid cyclist and healthy living advocate, Andrew is passionate about green issues and reducing his carbon footprint.
